Seasons Of Hope

Here we are, March is here, daylight savings time is upon us, and we’ve had some of our coldest temperatures and the least amount of sunny days this entire year so far. While contemplating those thoughts, I clicked on my social media and saw a meme that spoke to me. It was a dead tree stump, and in the center of it, there was green pushing though that dead stump. I had to pause and let it sink deep down into my spirit, heart, and mind. Many of us have lived or are living lives much like that old stump. We feel somewhat dead inside, may appear to self and others to be used up, dried up, and utterly useless. Yet, somewhere inside us a small seed of hope springs up and pushes through the nothingness. As we enter a season of Spring, let’s remember that small seeds of hope, fertilized with a little faith, and basking in the glorious sunlight of life, can and will bring about what seems to be loss of any kind, the birth of something new, significant, and dare I say, beautiful? It’s time to Spring forward, and March forth. To everything there is a season, a time, and a purpose. Keep pushing through!
