Sunday: The Astros conclude what has been a brutal 10-game road trip when Cristian Javier (4-2, 3.38 ERA) takes the mound for Houston at the Dodgers, a nationally televised game on ESPN beginning at 7:00pm. Los Angeles, which owns the best record in baseball, will hand the ball to Julio Urias (3-0, 3.86 ERA).
Cowboys fans will be focused on their team’s season opener as they visit the Rams beginning at 7:20pm. It will be the Dallas debut of new coach Mike McCarthy, who will do in front of a national audience on KPRC-2.
Monday: If necessary, the Rockets would take on the Lakers in Game Six of their Western Conference semifinal matchup. However, Houston trailed the series 3-1 after Los Angeles claimed a 110-100 win on Thursday night, which set them up for a possible elimination of Houston in Saturday’s Game Five.
Tuesday: It’s Opening Day for the 2020 volleyball season in both Class 5A and 6A, starting with Clear Creek at Manvel, Deer Park at Clear Falls and Clear Springs at Seven Lakes at 5:30pm. Clear Brook at Pearland, Dickinson at Friendswood, Santa Fe at Galveston Ball, La Marque at Sweeney and Texas City at Alvin each begin their matches at 6:30pm.
Zack Greinke (3-1, 3.27 ERA) gets the ball for the Astros in their return home against the Rangers beginning at 7:10pm. Texas will counter with Kyle Cody (0-1, 1.93 ERA).
