WE WILL NEVER FORGET

On Friday, we remembered the terrible attacks of September 11, 2001. May we never forget the innocent lives lost and the heroic first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

SUPPORTING TEXAS LAW ENFORCEMENT

I am proud to sign the Back the Blue Pledge and continue my support of the brave men and women in law enforcement. Defunding the police is dangerous, and I will do my part to oppose any measure that defunds the police. Sadly, some cities, like Austin, make sure that their $925,000 per year taxpayer-funded lobbyists still get paid, but not police!

CHANCE TO KEEP THE ALAMO CENOTAPH IN PLACE

The Texas Historical Commission will have the final say on moving the Alamo Cenotaph. The commission will be considering the move in a meeting on September 22nd. I am adamantly against any move of the Cenotaph and  I have joined with the Texas Freedom Caucus to request that the Historical Commission delay consideration of this action until the upcoming legislative session. This would ensure that the elected representatives of the People of Texas can weigh in on this vital issue and that Texans’ voices can be heard in an in-person setting to keep the Cenotaph in place.
