Sometimes life hits you hard. Sometimes we don’t have electricity, heat, or water and the cold seems to penetrate to the bone. Sometimes daughters have accidents and end up being a paraplegic. Sometimes grandsons end up in a hospital having liver biopsies. Sometimes you just want to scream “enough already” even though you know it will not change anything. My patience, state of mind, and emotions have been severely assaulted in the past three weeks. You want to be rock solid, steady and strong. But sometimes you just need to cry it all out, and that’s perfectly okay. Trust me, I know. But the time comes when you need to get back up and dry those tears. Your eyes may be red and puffy from your ugly crying, your nose runny, and your legs shaky. Breathe. Breathe again. You’re ready now to get back into the fight. You are stronger than you think. Always remember that. And I’d appreciate it if you would help me remember it, too.
