Seven of the area’s high school volleyball teams begin their road to a potential state championship beginning on Monday. Tuesday is loaded with six of the seven teams in action, the first slate of girls’ high school hoops, and the final scrimmages before the boys’ basketball season starts on Friday.

Sunday: The Cowboys will attempt to return to their winning ways when they visit the Falcons at noon. KRIV26 will have the game live.
Monday: The Knicks make their sole regular-season appearance at Toyota Center for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against the Rockets. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 pm with the pregame show.
Tuesday: Girls’ basketball Tuesday begins at 5:30 pm with Cy Springs at Dickinson, followed by South Houston at La Marque at 6:30 pm. Fulshear at Clear Brook, Angleton at Clear Falls, Kingwood at Clear Springs, state-ranked Friendswood at Humble, and Fort Bend Marshall at Santa Fe each start at 7:00 pm.
Meanwhile, the boys’ basketball scrimmage schedule has the Clear Brook team tuning up against each other and Clear Creek at Strake Jesuit at 4:00 pm, followed by state-ranked La Marque at state-ranked Houston Yates at 4:30 pm. Clear Springs at state-ranked Friendswood begins at 7:00 pm.
