Christmas is one of the busiest days in the sports calendar, so it’s no surprise the Rockets and Cowboys, two of professional sports’ most popular teams, will be in action Thursday. Dallas faces longtime NFC East rival Washington, while the Rockets take on LeBron James and the Lakers.

Wednesday: No games scheduled.

Thursday: The Cowboys get a very busy Christmas Day of sports when they visit the Commanders at noon. The game can be seen on Netflix.

The Rockets participate in Christmas Day when they visit the Lakers at 7 PM. The game can be seen on KTRK13 and ESPN.

Friday: No games scheduled.

Saturday: A blistering hot Texans team visits an equally red-hot Chargers squad in a matchup of AFC playoff contenders. NFL Network will have the game live at 3:30 PM.

Returning after a five-game road trip, the Rockets come home to Toyota Center to face the Cavaliers at 7 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show.

The University of Houston closes out its 2025 college football campaign with an 8:15 PM matchup against LSU in the Kinder’s Texas Bowl. The Cougars (8-4 overall) are ranked 21st overall, while the Tigers come into NRG Stadium with a 7-5 mark. ESPN will have the game live.
