My parents loved gardening. Especially my mother. She defiantly had a green thumb and could take the deadest looking plant and nurse it back to life! As I recall she often talked to them in soothing or cheery tones. And if I inquired why she would talk to “a dumb plant” she just smiled and continued on.
But, I couldn’t argue with the results! She had the most beautiful garden and her green house was filled with such vivid colors and fragrances!! Yep, mom was doing something right.
Well, recently I was speaking to a woman who was experiencing some reoccurring wounds on her legs related to diabetes. Now during our conversation she kept referring to one of her legs, that was healing really well, as her “good leg.” Then she patted the other leg, that had been less responsive, referring to it as “my bad leg.”
In an attempt to explain my own testimony about how powerful our words are, (Proverbs 18:21), and knowing this women was at one time a gardenner, I used my mom’s own testimony about talking to the plants. Quickly the women agreed, “Oh, yes!! I have always spoken to my plants, they just LOVE that. And they respond!!! If you talk bad to them they don’t do as well as the ones you speak good things to. Everyone knows that!”
“Well, it is the same thing with your legs! It will respond to words. The whole world is held together by the word of God. And we carry “life and death” in the power of our own tongues so you should speak life into both legs. Tell them they have been healed in Jesus name, both of them, and they are good, GOOD legs!! Strong, healed, full of life, resistant to infection or disase and with good circulation! And veins, blood always flows easily through you!! Muscles you are receiving strength and bones you are solid! Also, pancreas YOU work perfectly! You will and are secreting insulin throughout my body, and you always give out perfect readings!!”
So I know right now many people reading this are having a hard time receiving what I’m saying here. And at one time, I was “leading’ the pack” in contrast to what I can now testify as truth.
But here are some medical notes submitted to me by a reader that I want to share with you.
“Several years ago, an article appeared in the Shreveport Louisiana Times, written by a neurosurgeon. The title of the article was, “Talk To Your Body To Rid Your Ills.” He was using a method he called, “Mental Exercise,” which is literally telling your body what to do. He offered examples such as a diabetic who instructs his pancreas to secrete insulin or with hypertension, to say, several times a day, “My blood pressure is 120 over 80.” he said, it makes no difference if the patient knew where the pancreas is, or what 120 over 80 means … the body knows.”
The reader’s notes continued … “Now that medical science can operate on the brain, the neurosurgeons have discovered that the speech nerve is connected to all other nerves in the body. When they touch the speech nerve, all the other nerves in the body respond to that touch. So what you say with your mouth programs your whole body to accept whatever you say.”
It appears that medical science is finally catching up with Holy scripture …
“And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:21-24
