We are happy to welcome back Becky Stewart. Becky has been in business for over 12 years now which has enabled her to participate in many local events and establish a good customer base. It’s also enabled her to create a lot of unique flavors of roasted nuts, several being butter pecan “ice cream” pecans, sweet and salty mixed nuts, sweet and spicy mixed nuts, as well as seasonal ones like pumpkin pie pecans and our summer ones called Caribbean Orange pecans. Another new vendor to our market this year is Teri Dismukes, Owner of Backwoods Essentials. It all started with one product, Poo spray. Terri works in an office with about 50 people and they are stinky! She had an idea of making a Poo Spray that would be as natural as she could make it and still be effective. Terri made a batch and took it to work for others to try and it REALLY worked! People wanted it and she was making it and giving it away. After a while they wanted more and more. She told them they were going to have to pay for it because it was costing her too much to just keep giving it away, and they started buying it! She then realized she should sell her Poo Spray to other people too, because EVERYONE is stinky! Stealth Bomer was born!
Making Poo Spray opened her whole world to the benefits and uses of essential oils. Terri started with one product, and it has grown into 10 products with more on the horizon! She currently makes Poo Spray, Lotion Potion, Body Mist, Stinky Shoe Spray (Sole Survivor), Linen Spray, Lip Balm, Monster Bomber, Bath Salts, Beard Oil and Beard Wash. She started Backwoods Essentials with the idea of making products that are more natural, work well, less harmful to our environment and offer the benefits of essential oils. Discovering essential oils has changed her life and she looks forward daily to find ways to incorporate these little gems that nature gives to us.
