Few sporting events can rival the intensity of a Game 7 of the World Series. Entering the weekend, the Astros came back from Philadelphia with a 3-2 series lead and had a chance to claim their second World Championship on Saturday night. However, if it comes down to a winner-take-all, the eyes of the sports world will be on Minute Maid Park on Sunday night.
Sunday: Monday’s postponement of Game 3 means that, if necessary, Game 7 of the World Series between the Phillies and Astros will get underway at 7:03pm. KRIV26 will have the game live.
Monday: The Rockets visit the Magic for a 6:15pm start. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 5:30pm.
Tuesday: The girls’ high school basketball schedule tips off with Baytown Sterling at La Marque at 5:00pm, followed by Hitchcock at Houston Christian at 6:30pm. Clear Creek at Aldine MacArthur, Angleton at Clear Falls, Clear Springs at Kempner, Friendswood at Dickinson, Galveston Ball at Aldine Eisenhower, Crosby at Santa Fe and Galena Park at Texas City each start at 7:00pm.
A number of boys’ high school basketball scrimmages are also on tap with Clear Brook hosting a team scrimmage and Clear Creek at Strake Jesuit each starting at 4:00pm. Clear Falls at Dawson, Clear Springs at Katy Tompkins and Friendswood at Brazoswood each have scrimmages but the start times have not been announced.
