CHANGE is apparent in this week’s Texas Basketball
Coaches Association high
school boys and girls polls.
Both Clear Creek and Clear
Falls were knocked out of the
Class 6A girls rankings while
Hitchcock’s girls team climbed
up the 3A poll.
Creek finished 2-1 in last
week’s Peggy Whitley Classic,
while Falls lost two of their
three contests at the event.
Meanwhile, Hitchcock held its
own against a top-heavy crop of
5A and 6A powerhouses, allowing
them to zoom from 20th to
14th in the 3A poll.
Both Dickinson and La Marque
remained in the boys polls,
with the Gators sitting in the
22nd spot in Class 6A while the
Cougars stayed at 11th in the
3A poll.
