La Marque, Texas (March 27, 2018) — La Marque Councilwoman Casey McAuliffe, District D, is hosting a Recycling Workshop from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday April 4,
2018, at Council Chambers and plans to discuss the Recycle Often Recycle Right service offered to La Marque citizens
by Waste Management.
“Since we’ve switched to Waste Management as our city waste and recycling provider, some folks have reported feeling
confused— even upset— about their new recycling cans,” said McAuliffe. “I’ve made it my mission to get our entire city
obsessed with how easy, convenient and beneficial it is to recycle. Join me and Shanna Lopez from Waste Management
for a short Q&A, mini-how-to lesson and a casual conversation about how I can help you figure out a place for routine
recycling in your life.”
By recycling everyday items, tons of raw materials, time, energy, and money are saved, and the recycled materials
become new products. For example, if you recycle an aluminum can today, it could be back at the store as a new one
in 60 days.
