ROW co-owner Booker T inducted into WWE Hall of Fame with his brother
REALITY OF WRESTLING CO-OWNER Booker Huffman. joined a select group of World Wrestling
Entertainment stars when he and his brother, Lash, will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
on April 6.
The real-life brother duo – better known as Booker T and Stevie Ray — formed Harlem Heat,
establishing themselves as one of the best tag teams of all-time. The pair began in 1989 and
received their break in 1992 when they joined the Dallas-based Global Wrestling Federation as
the Ebony Experience. Although both were raised in Houston, the two were billed from Harlem
when they arrived at World Championship Wrestling in 1993 and quickly pushed up the card
before earning the first of seven WCW tag team titles in 1994. After the pair spent much of
1997-98 focusing as singles wrestlers, Harlem Heat reunited in 1999 and captured three more
WCW tag team championships before the company was purchased by then-World Wrestling
Federation in 2001.
Booker T. and Stevie Ray returned as Harlem Heat one last time in February 2015 when the duo
defeated The New Heavenly Bodies for the Reality of Wrestling tag team Championship.
With his induction with Harlem Heat, Booker T. becomes only the third person in WWE history
to become a two-time member, joining Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will come exactly six years since Booker T was inducted for his work
as an individual performer that included five WCW heavyweight championships and four WWE
titles. He also captured the TNA heavyweight title during his time at Impact! Wrestling from
2008-2010.
