Lt. Shawn Spruill, Mayes Middleton, Abby Cash, Officer Calvin Harp, & Officer Troy Anders

State Representative Mayes Middleton stopped by the La Marque PD this morning to  congratulate them all on their recognition as the #1 Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association in all of Texas. This is truly an exceptional accomplishment considering a little over a year ago the organization was on its last leg.

Lt Spruill and Ms. Cash have worked diligently to get their community involved and the program has bloomed from single digits to well over 40 active members. The training program required to become a member is an exciting and informative  look at what our police officers deal with each and every day. There is a great deal to lean, a great deal of fun to be had and it is a wonderful way to become supportive of your La Marque PD and your community.

And on a side note, what a wonderful thing for our Representative Middleton to take the time to shine a light on this group of exceptional individuals. Mayes Middleton gets my “Isn’t He A Peach!” award for kindness above and beyond. (no surprises there!)
