It has been a great start to the season for Friendswood High School’s boys’ golf team. The Mustangs junior varsity won the first tournament of the season at South Shore on Monday, and Varsity finished tied for third place at Eagle Pointe on Thursday. With scattered rain throughout the round, they played well as a team, shooting 315. Friendswood won the tiebreaker via our 5th player’s score being the deciding factor. Joe Reyes (Jr.) shot a strong 74 and Bryce Brazzel (So.) shot a 79. Vincent Leggio (Sr.) shot 80 and Adam Genzer (Sr.) shot 82. Jake Burke (Sr.) shot an 88.

Next up: Magnolia Creek Cup Match Play vs Clear Springs on Tuesday.

Casey Devers is the FHS Boys Golf Coach.
