Texas Parks and Wildlife will host a self-guided First Day walk at Galveston Island State Park on January 1, 2021 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Located at 14901 FM 3005 in Galveston, we hope to see you at the park for a self-guided mindfulness hike around Duck Lake Trail. Signs will be posted with quotes and activities to participate in if you so well please around the trail.

Guidelines:

1. Check the weather forecast and plan for potential trail conditions.

2. Visit Park Ranger Jordan at the Nature Center. Limit 4 people per person in building at a time. Face masks required.

3. After participating in the hike, check back in with Ranger Jordan for your first day hike merch.

For more information, call 409-737-1222.
