WHO: University of Houston-Clear Lake students, faculty, staff, and friends
WHAT: Each year, UHCL students, faculty, staff, and the Bay Area community celebrate the start of the winter holiday season with Lighting at the Letters, hosted by the Campus Activities Board, the Hawk Spirit and Traditions Council, and the UHCL Center for Student Engagement. Alumni Plaza will come alive with seasonal treats, giveaways, a DJ providing tunes, activities for kids of all ages, and even some (faux) snow. The highlight of the event happens when the free-standing, 7-foot UHCL letters that overlook the plaza are lit up against the night sky. They will continue to shine through the close of the fall semester in a Hawk-Proud display of community cheer.
WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 20
Activities begin at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
The lighting ceremony is expected at approximately 5:45 p.m.
