HOUSTON, TEXAS (MARCH 26, 2026) – NASA is preparing to launch Artemis II, its first crewed flight under the Artemis campaign, as early as Wednesday, April 1. Space Center Houston, the Official Visitor Center of NASA’s Johnson Space Center, will host a launch watch party to commemorate the significant milestone.
NASA Artemis II astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen will board the Orion spacecraft for a 10-day lunar flyby to test system capabilities for future deep-space missions, marking humanity’s return to the moon under the Artemis campaign.
The early April launch window includes opportunities through Monday, April 6, and Thursday, April 30.
At this time of publication, the event has sold out. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for media and 4:50 p.m. for the public.
