The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing and the lineup was really impressive. It was time for the 2019 Texas City 4th of July Parade! With Parade Marshal, Korean War Veteran Joe DeSanto leading the way, fire trucks and Deep Water Rescue Vehicles, antique cars and shiny motorcycles followed suit. There were city commissioners, police officers, Scout Troops and State Representatives. The music blared from the Dancing King Bus as parents kids alike scrambled for the candy and beads that rained down from giant floats and bicycles pulling wagons. It was a perfect way to celebrate the birth of our country and the freedoms we all enjoy.
