Texas City honored its Angel this past Friday as memorial services were held for Kendall Sumners, the inspirational 2020 graduate of Texas City High School who lost her spirited battle against cystic fibrosis earlier last month. Texas City Fire Department truck #19 left an empty seat in honor of Sumners, who became an honorary member of the TCFD earlier this year. Hundreds attended the services, which were held at Carlos Garza Sports Complex.
