Lagoonfest Texas Hosts Country Music Star Jack Ingram July 23

Country music star Jack Ingram will perform at Lagoonfest Texas Friday, July 23. Tickets are $26 and on sale now. Admission is at 5 p.m., allowing concertgoers time to enjoy the 12-acre lagoon.

(Texas City, Texas –) Country music star Jack Ingram will serenade fans at Lagoonfest Texas Friday, July 23, at the venue, 3240 Lago Mar Boulevard in Texas City.

Ingram received the Academy of Country Music (ACM) for “Top Male Vocalist” in 2008. In 2018, he and collaborators Miranda Lambert and Jon Randal won the ACM “Song of the Year” award for “Tin Man.” The song also received a Grammy Award nomination in the “Best Country Song” category.

Ingram rocketed to fame in 2005 when his single “Wherever You Are,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His songs “Love You,” “Lips of an Angel,” “Measure of a Man,” “Maybe She’ll Get Lonely,” “That’s a Man,” and “Barefoot and Crazy” were all ranked among the country Top 40.

His most recent collaboration with Lambert and Randall, “The Marfa Tapes,“ was released in May 2021 to critical acclaim. The trio recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

“Jack Ingram is a country music legend,” said Uri Man, Chief Executive Officer of The Lagoon Development Company. “It is an honor to have him performing at Lagoonfest Texas. Concert attendees are in for a treat, and we want everyone to sing along with their favorites.”

Ingram will appear with Kody West, a rising musician in the Texas country music scene. Doors will open at 5:00pm to allow concertgoers to enjoy a swim in the lagoon before the concert, which is estimated to start around 8:15pm.  Tickets are $26 online at www.lagoonfesttexas.com/concerts and $30 at the door.

The concert is one of many being held throughout the summer at the outdoor entertainment plaza of Lagoonfest Texas. Bars and concessions will be open and tables on rooftop party decks will be available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Daytime visitors to Lagoonfest Texas will have to purchase a concert ticket to attend the evening concert.

Lagoonfest Texas is open 10:00am  to sunset Wednesdays through Sundays through September  7. Kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and sailboats also are available, as is the floating obstacle course that was popular last year. Added to the activities are a 185-foot, five-story waterslide, a catapult swing and an electric ferry that transports people to a VIP luxury beach experience.

Admission for the attraction Lagoonfest Texas starts at $15 for children under age 13 and $20 for those age 13 and older. Prices are subject to change and vary based on day-of-week and demand. Children age 2 and under get in for free. Advance tickets are on sale at www.LagoonfestTexas.com.

COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced, including no cash transactions, frequent cleaning and enhanced sanitation of high-traffic areas and the requirement of masks for entry, exit and in all common areas.
