The tide was low and kept away some would-be boaters from the Gator Bayou Lighted Boat Parade in Dickinson on Saturday. But the boats that entered carried with them plenty of Christmas spirit, and the judges’ choice for the number one boat was filled with snowmen. The snowmen were both decorative and humans costumed as snowmen, chanting to spectators along the bayou, “We say merry, you say Christmas!”

Amy Skicki, a resident of Dickinson, had a fun evening judging the boats.
“The snowmen were so cute!” she explained as to why the snowmen boat stole the hearts of the judges.
