[SEABROOK, TX] Set a course for family fun on Saturday,
October 6, 2018 when Celebration Seabrook
takes over Meador Park in Seabrook for a day of
music, food and art. Celebrating the best of coastal
living, this family-friendly festival features the Ahoy
Kids’ Zone, gourmet food trucks and a full slate of live
music, headlined by the Cory Morrow Band.
“This year we’ve made Celebration Seabrook even
bigger and better,” said LeaAnn Petersen, the director
of communications for the City of Seabrook.
“We’ve also made it even more appealing to families
by adjusting the admission price.”
Music lovers won’t want to miss the Budweiser
Music Stage presented by Cobb Fendley, where the
day’s line-up of great music begins with Jaime Wyatt
and culminates with the Cory Morrow Band. Grant
Gilbert, Bri Bagwell and Brandon
Ryhder will also perform.
“Cory Morrow’s rollicking country
music has brought joy to music
fans for two decades,” Petersen
said. “His feel-good style is the perfect
accompaniment to Celebration
Seabrook.”
The Ahoy Kids’ Zone is the centerpiece
of Celebration Seabrook’s
family friendly activities. “Kids of
all ages will love the Kids’ Zone,”
Petersen said. “They can get their
faces painted, watch a pirate show
or take on the mechanical shark.”
Additional activities in the Ahoy Kids’ Zone include
crafts, bounce houses and balloon animals. “Thanks
to the sponsorship of Kroger there is no admission
charge for the Ahoy Kids’ Zone,” she said.
More than half a dozen food trucks will be available
at Celebration Seabrook, offering everything
from creole favorites to cake balls and snow cones
to barbecue. Wine and craft beer will be available for
purchase as well.
Seabrook’s popular pelicans will be posing for selfies
throughout the day and muralist Shelbi Nicole will
be continuing her compelling murals at Meador Park’s
skate park. “At last year’s Celebration Seabrook, the
chalk artists were incredibly popular, so we’ve decided
to invite them back for 2018,” Petersen said.
Local artists, merchants and other vendors will create
a unique shopping experience inside the Merchant
Village and Artist Pavilion.
Tickets and more information, including a full
schedule of live music, are available at www.CelebrationSeabrook.com.
Tickets are $5 at the gate or
you can purchase tickets in advance. Children 10 and
under are free and there is no charge for children’s
activities. Leashed dogs are always welcome.
Celebration Seabrook’s Budweiser Music Stage
is presented by Cobb Fendley and additional zone
sponsors include the Seabrook Economic Development
Corporation, Gulf Winds International, the
Seabrook Association, Kroger and TASC.
Event proceeds will benefit the City of Seabrook’s
Share Your Christmas Program and the Animal Shelter
and Adoption Center.
