La Marque non-profit organization Khambrel Foundation is organizing the Mainland Kindness Rocks Project, which is scheduled Thursday and celebrates National Kindness Week. Khambrel Foundation’s volunteer group, Righteous Acts of Kindness, will be painting and delivering rocks or creating rock gardens filled with inspirational messages across Galveston County.
Khambrel Foundation was awarded a grant from The Pollination Project, a non-profit organization who believe in the power of people doing extraordinary things to make their communities and their world a better place. Several community organizations and businesses are hosting rock painting parties in support of the Mainland Kindness Rocks Project due in part to funding. Khambrel Foundation has partnered with the City of La Marque Economic Development Corporation, La Marque Parks Board, La Marque Garden Club, Mainland Preparatory Classical Academy, City of Texas City-Nessler Senior Center and One Red Shoe Foundation to plant inspirational rock gardens at these facilities. With these partnerships, our goal is to turn our communities KIND, one rock at a time.
Righteous Acts of Kindness is a Khambrel Foundation volunteer group who believes, “All it takes is one Righteous Act to change a moment, in everything we’ve learned it’s to show others how kind life can truly be. According to Tonia Rene Griffin, Founder, it is more blessed to give than to receive, our RÅighteous Acts volunteer group promotes acts of kindness in the Galveston County community. Everyone is encouraged to perform kind acts every day to make an impact in this world. This group is open to individuals, groups and organizations.
