Friendswood ISD officially named Caleb Marburger as the new boys’ varsity basketball head
coach on Monday. Marburger, who took the interim role in December, guided the Mustangs to
a 21-13 overall record and a tie for second place in District 22-5A with a mark of 11-3 while
taking the team to the area round of the playoffs.
Friendswood High School athletic department secretary Amy Roenne was among those who
was recently honored with the FISD “Making a Difference” award. Roenne has been a valuable
part of the Mustangs’ successful athletic programs.
Whitewater College and former Texas City High School bowler Emma Kuhn was named a
second team All-American. She was the only NCAA Division III bowler in the nation to earn a
spot on the All-America teams.
Clear Creek ISD’s Athletic Hall of Honor is seeking nominations by May 1 for graduates of
Webster HS, Clear Creek HS and Clear Lake HS between the years 1948-1987. For more
