Sunday: The Rockets return home after a two-game road trip to take on the Jazz beginning at 6:00pm. AT&T Sports Net Southwest will have the coverage starting at 5:30pm with the pregame show. The game also will be aired on NBATV.
Monday: Three high school baseball scrimmages help open the week as Clear Creek is at Galveston Ball in a tri-scrimmage that includes North Shore beginning at 4:00pm. Friendswood at Lutheran South Academy and Clear Falls at Spring Woods are each 4:30pm starts.
One high school softball scrimmage is on the slate. Dickinson will be at North Shore in a 4:00pm tri-scrimmage that includes Pearland.
There’s plenty of high school golf available. Clear Creek hosts a girls’ event at South Shore Harbour with Clear Falls, Santa Fe and Texas City among the schools participating. Clear Brook and Clear Falls are among the teams taking part in a boys’ event at Golf Crest Country Club while Hitchcock’s boys’ and girls’ teams are at Sweetwater Country Club.
La Marque’s tennis team is at Sweeny.
Tuesday: The final night of the girls’ high school basketball regular season starts with state-ranked Hitchcock at Van Vleck at 6:15pm, followed by Clear Lake at Clear Brook, state-ranked Clear Springs at Clear Creek, Friendswood at Crosby, Alvin at Dickinson, Baytown Lee at Galveston Ball and Texas City at Santa Fe each starting at 7:00pm.
The boys’ high school basketball slate gets underway with state-ranked Dickinson at Alvin, Galveston Ball at Baytown Lee, Clear Creek at Clear Springs, Clear Brook at Clear Lake, Crosby at Friendswood and Santa Fe at Texas City (which will be broadcast live on Victory Sports Net) at 7:00pm. Hitchcock at Van Vleck ends the evening at 7:30pm.
A busy boys’ high school soccer schedule has Alvin at Clear Brook, Clear Falls at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Clear Lake. Friendswood at Crosby, Baytown Lee at Galveston Ball and Texas City at Santa Fe each starting at 7:30pm.
Each of the girls’ high school soccer matches are also 7:30pm kickoffs, with Clear Brook at Alvin, Galveston Ball at Baytown Lee, Clear Creek at Clear Falls, Clear Lake at Clear Springs, Crosby at Friendswood and Santa Fe at Texas City.
Softball scrimmages continue as the regular season begins next week. Clear Springs is at Pearland for a tri-scrimmage that includes Ridge Point beginning at 4:00pm. Friendswood at Tompkins is at 5:00pm. Hitchcock at La Marque is at 6:00pm, followed by Galveston Ball at Clear Brook, Goose Creek Memorial at Clear Falls and Aldine Nimitz at Texas City each starting at 6:30pm.
An equally busy slate of baseball scrimmages is on the docket. Clear Springs at Dawson and Clear Brook at La Porte starts at 4:00pm, with Manvel at Santa Fe starting at 4:30pm. Dickinson at Texas City gets underway at 5:00pm, followed by Hitchcock at La Marque slated for 6:00pm.
Pearland High School hosts a powerlifting meet at 5:00pm that will also see the likes of Dickinson, La Marque, Texas City and Santa Fe among the competitors.
The Rockets get the national spotlight when they host the Celtics beginning 8:30pm. TNT will have live coverage of the game, as will AT&T Sports Net Southwest, which begins its coverage at 8:00pm with the pregame show. It will be the last game for the Rockets going into the All-Star Break.
