A trio of Galveston County players are competing to stick on NFL rosters. Former La Marque standout Brian Allen is in the thick of a tight race to earn a roster spot as a cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, while Clear Springs alum Marcus Johnson seeks to become a favorite target of new Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers. After stints with the Steelers and Texans, Clear Creek’s Tevin Jones finds himself in a competitive clash among the Dallas Cowboys wide receiving corps. All three are hoping to be a part of the 53-man rosters when the 2020 regular season kicks off on September 10.
