Spring into Good Health

Everyone has the traditional struggle of wanting to be healthier. Many of us start the new year off with plans for body goals and/or health goals, but the reality is a lot of us fail at that. By trying to do more than what our body maybe is ready for, we often are not able to fully commit to the goals that we set for our health.

With springtime rolling around, now is the key time to be able to try and spring back into good health. Below are a few tips that can help achieve your health and body goals for the rest of the year.

  1. Wake early to exercise.

Exercising before work can begin your day on a high note with clarity and energy.

  1. Update your workout attire.

Proper footwear can help support an active lifestyle by providing important support for your joints. In addition, new lightweight clothing can help you manage heat and perspiration to optimize comfort when exercising. Be sure you are properly equipped before starting a new workout routine.

  1. Eat Fruits and Vegetables

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends 4.5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

  1. Say “yes” to a healthy breakfast.

It is a strong foundation to get your day started.  You will need energy to make the most of your fitness routine. Instead of coffee and a quick breakfast sandwich, how about a glass of OJ and fruit?

  1. ‍Water with a squeeze of lemon.

How often do you drink the recommended half gallon of water each day? Being hydrated is essential. A glass of water can also be a good appetite suppressant. Try a squeeze of lemon/lime in your water to add a bit of zest.
