Spring break still offers a solid slate of sporting events, with baseball and softball throughout the area. The week also sees the final regular season matches for area 5A schools.
Wednesday: The one local event of the day will have Friendswood hosting Manvel in a high school softball contest that begins at 1:00pm.
Thursday: Hitchcock’s track and field team takes part in a meet at Sweeny that begins at 8:30am.
Friday: The high school baseball schedule will have Clear Falls at Clear Brook, followed by Clear Creek at Dickinson, Clear Springs at Clear Lake, Baytown Lee at Friendswood and Stafford at La Marque each beginning at 6:00pm. Hitchcock plays Van Vleck under the lights at 7:00pm.
In high school softball, Texas City at Galveston Ball gets the day started at 1:00pm, followed by Hitchcock at Van Vleck at 5:00pm. Brazosport at La Marque begins at 6:00pm, with Clear Creek at Clear Falls and Dickinson at Clear Springs at 6:30pm.
The final matches of the high school boys’ soccer regular season will have Friendswood at Texas City, La Porte at Galveston Ball and Baytown Lee at Santa Fe at 7:30pm.
Likewise, the high school girls’ soccer slate will have Galveston Ball at La Porte, Santa Fe at Baytown Lee and Texas City at Friendswood at 7:30pm.
Saturday: Three games on the high school baseball slate are each 1:00pm starts as Clear Brook at Clear Springs, Friendswood at Manvel and Galveston Ball at Texas City highlight the day’s schedule.
