What is going on in your life? Is your back against the wall with nowhere to turn or run?
Let me tell you, it is at these times that God likes to show up and rescue you or direct you to safety, peace of mind and happiness.
Have you found yourself watching superhero shows where you are intense and all into the show? The show has you on the edge of your seat wondering how they are going to get out of the situation. Back in the day, I remember my parents and grandparents would discuss how they didn’t have TV. They would listen intensely to the radio. They looked forward to the time the show would come on. Everyone would gather around and sit quietly so they could hear what was going on. The excitement was what would happen next. The show would have them on edge waiting to find out how the characters got out of impossible situations. Mostly, it was just in the nick of time, as there was always a way of escape, or someone came to rescue them.
Look at what is going on in your life now. Don’t look at how big the problem or situation is and let it get you off focus. Focus on how big your God is and how He can be your superhero and turn things around for you. He can and will be there for you through the entire process, because He never leaves you alone unless you push Him away. Even then, He waits for you to ask Him back into your life.
2 Chronicles 20: 1-2–A large army came to battle against Jehoshaphat. The first thing Jehoshaphat did was turn to God and proclaimed a fast for everyone in Judah. He then
reminds God who He is, and no one has the power He has. He reminds God, we cry out to you and look to you to hear us and save us.
Listen to what God has to say to them in verses 15-17.
15 Be not afraid of the great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
16 Tomorrow go to the end of the brook before the wilderness you will find them.
17 You will not have to fight; set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you. Do not be afraid for He is with you.
20 Jehoshaphat told them to believe in the Lord their God.
21 Jehoshaphat and Judah’s army went out singing and praising the Lord God.
22 When they began to sing praises the enemy became confused and turned on themselves and killed each other.
25 They not only won the victory, but God gave them jewels and great spoils for themselves.
God has been the superhero more times than not in so many people’s lives. Listen to exactly what God tells you to do and operate in faith. It’s in your obedience you will see Him move on your behalf. It’s in your obedience that you will see the victory.
