Servolution/Revolution
What happens when churches open their doors and step out into the community simply to serve?
Inspired by Servolution-Galveston uniting the Body of Christ to serve their community, Mainland Churches are uniting to launch Servolution Mainland. Churches across Texas City and La Marque are taking their worship outside the walls of their church to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Service projects will be available for all ages and skill levels, both indoors and outdoors. Groups will gather to serve from 9- 12:30, then we will join together for a community meal and group photo at St. George’s Episcopal Church. Let us shine God’s light and love into our community!
“This is a historic movement in our time as our churches join together through the Holy Spirit to serve our community. It is an invitation for the community as a whole to join a dozen or more churches from Texas City and La Marque as they go forth into the neighborhoods to perform good works as the hands and feet of Jesus – a revolution through serving.” Said Pastor Robin Reeves of St. George’s Episcopal Church.
Isaiah 32:8 says, “A generous man devises generous things…” It’s one thing to be generous. It’s another thing to come up with a plan for generosity. It’s about getting to the heart of what your city is crying out for and thinking like Jesus.
Sunday, May 5th multiple churches will leave their buildings to unite with other churches to serve our neighbors. We aim to make our community a better place. Together we can do it! Join us!
