March 31st Second installment deadline for 2019 property taxes for seniors, disabled persons, disabled
vets, surviving spouses of disabled vets and those taking advantage of disaster installments
April 3rd Last day to register to vote (or update address information) for May 2nd local elections
April 30th Effectively Protest Your Property Value Class (Part I), Learning Resource Center (Room L-131), College of the Mainland, 1200 Amburn Road in Texas City starting at 6 pm
May 5th Effectively Protest Your Property Value Class (Part I), League City Council Chambers,
West Walker in League City starting at 6 pm (could be moved to Civic Center)

County Courthouse, 722 Moody/21st Street in Galveston starting at 6 pm
May 15th Deadline to call to schedule protest meeting, mail protest form or file online protest at
County Appraisal District

Voter registration applications are available at the Voter Registration Department in the Galveston County Courthouse, all Galveston County Tax Office branches (Galveston, League City, Santa Fe and Texas City) and satellite offices at Friendswood City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Drive (every Thursday and Friday) and 946 Noble Carl Road in Crystal Beach (third Tuesday of each month from 8 am to 4:30 pm). Download an application online at www.galcotax.com (under the Voter Registration tab) or call or email and we will send an application to you. Tax payments may be mailed to GCTO, PO Box 1169, Galveston, Texas 77553, left in GCTO drop boxes (outside each full time branch location) or paid online (www.galcotax.com) via electronic check ($1 fee) or credit card (2.5% merchant fee). Credit card telephone payments can be made by calling 1-866-865-1433 (English) or 1-866-865-1435 (Spanish).
