Wet Stuff To Dictate Course of Schedule

Obviously, the appearance of Tropical Storm Nicholas will impact this weekend’s schedule, as all of Tuesday’s high school volleyball matches were cancelled. The hope is that those are the only contests that were rearranged. 

Wednesday: The Astros continue their series at the Rangers starting at 7:05pm. Both AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (Astros) and Fox Sports Southwest (Rangers) begin their pregame shows at 6:30pm.

Friday: The high school football schedule will have Clear Creek at Katy Tompkins at 6:00pm, while Clear Brook at Fulshear, Cinco Ranch at Clear Falls, Columbia at La Marque, and Dobie at Dickinson at 7:00pm.

The high school volleyball slate has Clear Brook at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Clear Falls, and La Marque at Columbia each starting at 5:30pm, while Hitchcock at Harmony and Texas City at Galveston Ball start at 6:00pm. Manvel at Friendswood gets going at 6:30p.

In cross-country, Clear Brook, Santa Fe and Texas City will each be part of the Galveston Fun Run at East Beach beginning at 9:00am.

Among the tennis teams in action, Kingwood at Clear Springs will start at 3:00pm.

Prior to their final road swing of the regular season, the Astros come home for a weekend series against the visiting Diamondbacks starting at 7:10pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 6:30pm.

Saturday: Baseball in the twilight? The Astros will have it with a 6:10pm start against the Diamondbacks. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest’s pregame show starts at 5:30pm.
