Dickinson ISD, like each of the area’s other school districts, announced closings on Tuesday, January 16 due to severe weather conditions. A hard freeze was expected on Tuesday morning with real feel temps between 5 to 15 degrees. The area also experienced light rain throughout Monday that made roads a concern as well. A decision on whether classes will resume on Wednesday, January 17 was made at some point on Tuesday afternoon.
