Village of Surfside Beach Announces Inaugural “Surfside Sunset & Sound” History, Market, and Music Festival
SURFSIDE BEACH, TX — The Village of Surfside Beach is proud to announce the Surfside Sunset & Sound festival, a two-day celebration of coastal culture, Texas history, and live music, taking place Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The event will be held at the new waterfront stage located at 1304 Monument Drive, next to the historic Timeline Fence. Gates will open daily at 12:00 PM, with festivities continuing until 8:00 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
Highlights of the Weekend Include:
* Live Music: Headlined by Blue Water Highway on Saturday at 5:00 PM, featuring a lineup of regional artists throughout the weekend.
* Texas Independence Celebration: on Saturday of the event, we will have historical reenactors in the timeline fence fort, bringing history to life.
* Family Fun: There will be a scavenger hunt seeing the kids collecting stamps for a prize, Local food trucks, and a curated market featuring local vendors.
* Community Welcome: Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the Village’s new City Administrator, William Cox, who begins his tenure the week of the event.
“This festival represents the spirit of Surfside Beach—bringing together our rich history and our vibrant future,” says the Village Tourism Director David Calhoun . “It’s the perfect way to kick off the 2026 beach season with our residents and visitors alike.”
Parking is available at the public boat ramp near the Coast Guard station.
