Galveston, TX (June, 2019)-Moving to a new city is a way of life for Salvation Army officers. As dedicated pastors and leaders, Salvation Army officers serve wherever their skills are needed. Captains Patrick & Jennifer Jones have received orders from Salvation Army leadership that they will be the new corps officers in St. Petersburg FL. The Jones’ served Galveston County for 3 years and their last day of service to The Salvation Army of Galveston County is Sunday, June 16, 2019.

“We have always been pleased to serve wherever God calls us. We have enjoyed our time in Galveston County and will take many memories with us.” said Captain Jones. “While in Galveston, we have been blessed to work among people truly dedicated to serving others. It is my hope that the community will continue to do as much as it can to support the work we have established to meet the needs of our neighbors in need.”

The Jones family, including two sons Gavin and Colin, came to Galveston County in June of 2016. Due to their hard work, The Salvation Army is positioned to meet the needs of the Galveston community in a variety of ways.

The Salvation Army will receive its new officers, Captains Nathanael & Lucila Doria, in late June. They bring many years of experience to Galveston, hailing from their most recent appointment in Lubbock.
