The Roosevelt-Wilson Robotics Team competed in the PISD VEX IQ tournament Saturday and brought home the highest awards. Both teams will advance to State in February! Team 30116R “Mechanical Brainiacs” won the tournament Design Award and 30116W “R-W Robo Girls” won the overall Excellence Award.
The Excellence Award is the highest award presented in the VEX IQ Challenge. This award is presented to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in creating a high quality VEX robotics program.
The Design Award recipient demonstrates the ability to implement the most effective and efficient robot design process.
This is the second year this school has had robotics team. One team advanced to nationals last year. Their teacher is Ricci Rodgers. Way to go and good luck at State!
